Marie Victoria Lilly

Marie is a postdoctoral research scientist interested in how socio-ecological factors influence vector-borne zoonotic disease emergence, transmission, and management actions in urban environments. She received her PhD from Columbia University in 2026 with the dissertation titled, "Ticks in the City: Socio-ecological dynamics of tick-borne hazards across an urbanization gradient". Marie holds a B.A. in Biology and Hispanic studies from Oberlin College and completed a Fulbright grant in Colombia, South America. For their M.S. in Ecology at San Francisco State University, Marie focused their research on the role of host community composition in Lyme disease transmission on the West Coast.
